A lovely old brick showroom fronting a quonset hut (warehouse and service bays), with a curved wall at the prominent corner of the showroom space. After updating the brick exterior with stone and texture, the new occupants called us about getting their logo installed on that curve… The sign is made from 3 sheets of …
Arrowhead Gallery in Old Fort, NC, moved to a new facility after Hurricane Helene wiped out its previous space. Along with the new space came a new icon designed by a local artist, and a new facade sign. From a forward angle, the sign appears to be several inches thick, heavy, and riveted to the …
I set out determined to make a BTTF spoof of an “OUTTA TIME” license plate on the back of a hearse. Instead, I ended up making a factory serial number plate in a ’40s style. The featured image above is a “clean” version; below is the final version submitted, complete with aging and texture treatments.. …

Many years ago, my friend Fotno would take the local news weather person literally when they said, “Today’s weather brought to you by…”, thereby laying the blame for the rain or storm or whatever at the feet of the segment sponsor. Mothman! Max painted this at a fairly young age and graciously allows me to use it here. In exchange for free T-shirts. I love how happy she made him! Get this image on almost anything at RedBubble. Bigfoot, who has become ubiquitous in my daily life, is also included, along with a “Field Investigator” Tee. …
I worked with a tactical gear manufacturer to improve the quality of their bartacks (a reinforcement stitch comprised of long-form straight stitches bound over by small zig-zags) used for their MOLLE webbing. A frame was built to hold lengths of Cordura webbing in a Juki large-field pattern sewer, but the default bartack programmed into the …
I worked with brothers who struck me as very much like the Venture Brothers – one stockier, one taller… so I broke down and spoofed the show logo, drawing caricatures of this pair in the style of the original logo. The text was hand-drawn in a “clean” version, then roughed up in Adobe Illustrator. This …
Skiffle Creek is a local, songwriter-driven band with a string-band vibe and an eclectic set list. This is a poster design with a large flexible area to give me the freedom to cram in a lot (as in the “two shows” sample below) or give a cleaner feel to more straightforward promotions. These guys did …
What a great project! After a brainstorming session with the business owner, where I brought several design samples to give us a reference for discussion, I took his conceptual ideas and generated this drawing. My first submission was a 2′ by 6′ sample generated on a pen plotter from a vector original. After choosing a …
