Marco and Mariposa is the story of a tadpole who falls in love with a monarch butterfly. The two know their relationship will not be accepted, so they run away together, having life-altering encounters along the way. The theme is “Love Conquers All”.
The Illustrations were created entirely using the Paper by 53 app on an iPad, except for “The Great Butterfly Soul”; the mass of monarchs was added using a custom brush in Adobe Photoshop.
